Drug therapy
Epilepsy is mainly treated using drugs.
Sixty percent of all epilepsy patients treated with anti-epileptic drugs become seizure free.
Operative therapy
Epileptic surgery removes the focus of the epilepsy, i.e. the part of the brain where the seizures are triggered.
